Welcome to the web site of the Palm Springs, California chapter of A Common Bond, the worldwide support system for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered individuals who are active, inactive, disassociated, and disfellowshipped Jehovah's Witnesses. Our support network exists because the Witnesses teach that homosexuality is "detestable", and "an abomination". Gay members of the Witnesses live a life of forced celibacy, deeply closeted guilt, and fear of destruction by God. Jehovah's Witnesses are taught to equate homosexuality with pedophilia, beastiality, and demon possession.
Whether you live locally here in the Palm Springs area or somewhere else in the world, we are here to offer you support. The road to self-acceptance and self-esteem can often be a difficult journey, especially when it goes against everything your belief system ever taught you. We have traveled that road, and we are here to help!
Please contact Frank at the email address below for information about our support network. In that many of our members have left the Witnesses and some have embarked on other spiritual paths, we maintain religion-free conversation, but rather concentrate our discussions on how membership within the walls of the Watchtower has impacted on our own personal lives as gay & lesbian people. There are never any dues or membership fees. We welcome correspondence from anywhere, and look forward to hearing from you!
